ASSOCIAZIONE FORMAZIONE 80

TORINO, ITALY

The institution is a non-profit Association and Adult education provider founded in 1984.

For the Association are working five persons as full time personnel and four persons as part time staff. For our project will work three persons from the Institution’s permanent staff and two part time collaborators.
EXPERIENCE: The institution was founded by a group of teachers, academics and researchers working in the education field who are all involved in adult education. Over 20 years, the institution has enforced its role by contributing to the definition of new, simpler and more substantial policies for adult education. The Association has gained considerable experience from research, teaching methodology & adult education projects, whilst learning new skills regarding career guidance and integration in work environments.
Association Formation 80 activities also include project planning for work integration and career guidance for less well-equipped individuals (in economic and social terms) in the work market. The institution deals with young unemployed, people who suffer social marginalization, drug addicts, mentally or physically handicapped people, immigrants etc. The institution publishes Formazione 80 Percorsi, which is the only publication in Italy to focus on adult education in terms of teaching methodology, teacher training & research.
The institution has acquired strong skills in project development by working independently or in collaboration with public institutions and other associations. This helped the Institution create a national and European network. This network and the experience of its trainers, tutors and teachers allow the Institution to develop projects on a local, national and European level, through various programmes: National Laws, the Leonardo Da Vinci II Programme, Socrates programme, and various community initiatives and plans.
